Mind Body Medicine - Thomas Jackson

Picture
Thomas Jackson - Mind Body Medicine
Thomas Jackson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice in Middlebury, Vermont.  A graduate of Trinity College, Dublin and Hunter School of Social Work, he has worked with a wide variety of populations in New York City and Vermont. He completed his training at the Brooklyn Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy where he went on to become a board member.  For thirty years he has studied and practiced many of the techniques championed by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine; hence his delight at encountering this model and its integration of so many powerful practices.  He ran many groups at the Fordham Tremont Center for Mental Health in the Bronx in the late 90s including for men convicted of domestic violence.  Aware of the power of group work he is extremely grateful to be running groups again and is especially interested in this model’s applicability for students and migrant workers.  He loves walking, yoga, cooking and spending time with his family.

True North Wilderness - Mod Barefoot

Picture
We began our careers as field guides for a well-known therapeutic wilderness program almost 20 years ago, and our passion for working with struggling teens in the outdoors was born. Establishing this program is our way of coming home and finding our True North. We are thrilled to be able to introduce our students and their families to the incredible beauty and unique culture of life in the Green Mountains of Vermont. It is our goal to provide an inspiring experience that will be a cornerstone for positive change.
Our time in the outdoors has helped to define us as individuals as well as shape our work. We have handpicked every member of our exceptional staff so that we can serve our families at the very highest level in our field. True North wilderness program offers a journey of discovery for the whole family, and it is our privilege to be there every step along the way.

WomenSafe - Martha Alexander

WomenSafe is a nonprofit that works to serve people across the gender spectrum who experience sexual violence, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking.
With the collaboration of staff, volunteers, community members, and the WomenSafe Board of Directors, we are able to provide services for folks all throughout Addison County and the town of Rochester. We also act as an active member of the Vermont Network Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, The Addison County Council Against Domestic and Sexual Violence and the Sexual Assault Response Team of Addison County.
